APF Unveiled a Global Telethon to Support Amhara Victims of Abiy Ahmed Regime’s Genocidal War

We are excited to announce the launch of a groundbreaking initiative aimed at rallying global support for the Amhara people's fight for survival. The Amhara Popular Front (APF) is proud to present the "Worldwide Online Telethon to Support Amhara's Struggle for Survival" campaign, a spirited effort to raise $5 million. The Amhara Popular Front is responding to the urgent need for assistance as the Amhara people confront a genocidal war waged by the Ethiopian federal government. With the objective of both raising crucial funds and fostering global awareness, our campaign will employ the immense reach of major social media platforms. This online fundraising event will feature a dynamic telethon format, including representatives from APF, artists, social media influencers, live music, poetry readings, and impactful speeches.

The campaign kicks today culminating in a grand telethon event over the Labor Day weekend (Friday, September 1 - Monday, September 4, 2023). Regular progress updates will keep the momentum alive, fueling ongoing support.

The main goal of the telethon is to raise $5 million in support of the Amhara people who are facing the Abiy Ahmed regime's genocidal war.
